YOUTH DEVELOPMENT & ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The Middle East youth population represents significant social and economic opportunities as well as challenges. Palestine’s population, a majority of which are between the ages of 15 and 29, is no exception. While access to education is relatively higher in Palestine than other countries in the region, Palestinian youth face barriers to quality and relevant education, employment, healthy psychosocial development, and a lack of opportunity for community leadership.

Entrepreneurship

Working hand in hand with QFFD, our organization is making strides against youth unemployment in disadvantaged regions of the West Bank. Our approach involves fostering private-public partnerships and delivering comprehensive entrepreneurial training programs. These efforts equip both male and female youth with the skills necessary to launch or expand their startups.

We provide essential mentorship and seed funding to these promising businesses, crafting a pathway to employment opportunities for disadvantaged youth. To create a bridge between academia and industry, we're expanding our internship program in association with TYO and other major businesses, offering our youth invaluable, real-world business experience.

The Women Empowerment program is an essential part of our mission. We strive to dismantle the barriers women often face in employment, assisting them in achieving financial stability and independence. As part of this initiative, we also provide 4-year scholarships for master's degree programs, signaling our deep commitment to the professional development of these emerging entrepreneurs.

Professional Volunteer Experience

Thanks to our robust partnership with QFFD, we have introduced a unique Volunteer program designed to empower the youth of the West Bank. This initiative serves as a platform for youth to enhance their civic knowledge and engagement, while fostering essential leadership skills such as collaboration, empathy, and creativity.

At the heart of our volunteering initiative is the Community Leadership Program. This program enables youth to make positive contributions to their communities through their involvement in non-formal early childhood and adolescent education programs. This hands-on learning experience not only enhances their employment prospects but also nurtures their social-emotional development.

In order to ensure the effectiveness of our program, we employ a rigorous monitoring system to track the progress of our volunteers. This includes regular meetings, assessments, classroom observations, and constructive feedback. The program also opens doors to higher education by offering volunteers the opportunity to win full university scholarships from the Qatar Fund for Development. These scholarships provide a pathway to bachelor's or master's degrees, thereby promoting long-term educational and professional growth.
