APWE’s Research Project Has Begun!

Since 2011, Tomorrow’s Youth Organization has prioritized entrepreneurship programs specifically tailored to address the needs of women in Northern Palestine. TYO’s current project, Advancing Palestinian Women Entrepreneurs (APWE), seeks to empower women entrepreneurs and provide them with the tools and skills needed to grow profitable and sustainable businesses that are scalable and facilitate job creation. A critical component of any successful micro-business is a business owner’s ability to access start-up capitol to access the supplies, materials, and locale to conduct one’s business. World Mental Health Day 2015

Today, October 10th, is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as World Mental Health Day. This year’s theme is “Dignity in Mental Health” and we’re helping raise awareness for people with mental health conditions so that they can live with dignity. The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women (CBFW) and GE invited TYO to participate in this year’s prestigious “Leading and Learning” event in Crotonville, NY from May 13-15th.  This year’s theme was to inspire women leaders in business to be “always evolving.” TYO was honored to be selected to participate and was represented by Ms. Sahar Dwaikat, TYO Nablus entrepreneur and Ms. Nadine Okla, TYO-Lebanon Country Director. TYO-L has been laying the groundwork for the FWEME project with extensive outreach in the Bekaa Valley.
